This Privacy Policy explains how iTutor LTD ("iTutor", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects information on itutor.world, in our family and tutor portals, and in our tutoring sessions. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to offer and run tutoring. Most of it comes straight from you, usually a parent or guardian.

Contact details: parent or guardian name, email address, phone number and, for in-person lessons, a home or meeting address.
Student details: your child's name, grade, subjects, goals, assessment and sample-question answers, homework you upload, tutor progress notes and session history.
Billing details: your plan, payment method and payment history. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers, and we do not post them on this website.
Tutor applicants and tutors: the details in an application, such as name, contact information, education and experience, a recorded interview, and the tax and payment information needed to pay tutors.
Messages: texts, emails and calls between you and iTutor, so we can help you and keep a record of what was agreed.
Online sessions: online lessons take place in Klassroom, our online classroom, and sessions may be recorded (audio, video and shared whiteboard).
In-person sessions: for safety, a tutor's check-in and check-out can share a location. We keep that location information for a short time only (up to 7 days).
Website information: your IP address, browser type, pages visited and times, and basic settings saved in your browser so the site works as expected (for example, your sample-question progress).

We do not ask for information we do not need. Please do not send us information such as a social security number by email or text.

How We Use Information

To match your child with a tutor, schedule lessons, deliver sessions and share progress with you.
To bill you, send receipts and reminders, and collect payments you have agreed to.
To answer your questions and give support.
To keep sessions safe and to review session quality and tutor performance.
To run, secure and improve our website and services, and to follow the law.
To tell you about iTutor services, if you have agreed to receive that kind of message. You can opt out at any time (see "Text Messages And Email" below).

Who We Share It With

We do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists or your personal information.

We share information only with:

Your child's tutor, who sees what is needed to teach (name, grade, subject, goals, progress and schedule).
Service providers that help us run iTutor, such as payment processing, text and email delivery, online classroom and video, document signing, and hosting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us and must keep it confidential.
Authorities or others when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that it is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of iTutor, our users or the public.
A successor business if iTutor is ever sold or merged. We would tell you and the same protections would continue.

Children

iTutor tutors students of many ages, including children under thirteen. We collect a child's information only from a parent or guardian, or from the child's iTutor account that a parent or guardian has set up, and only to provide tutoring and the related services described here. We do not sell children's information or use it for advertising. A parent or guardian may review, correct or ask us to delete their child's information at any time by contacting us.

Cookies And Browser Storage

Our website may use cookies and similar browser storage to remember your settings, keep you signed in to your portal and understand how the site is used. Most browsers let you decline cookies. If you do, some features of the portal may not work.

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and show us which pages help families. Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser to do this. You can opt out with Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, or Google's opt-out add-on.

Text Messages And Email

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your lessons and account, such as schedule changes, reminders, receipts, payment links and replies to your questions. Our number is 1-844-505-7946. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop text messages, reply STOP at any time. For help, reply HELP or call 1-844-505-7946.
We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.
Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything.
For email, use the unsubscribe link in a message or email support@itutor.world. We may still send service messages about your account, such as receipts and schedule changes.

How Long We Keep It

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide tutoring, meet legal, tax and accounting duties, and settle disputes. Recordings of online sessions are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically, unless we need to keep one longer to look into a safety concern or a dispute. You may ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

We use encryption when information travels between your device and our services, sign-in controls, and limits on who at iTutor can see your information. No method of sending or storing information is 100% secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please keep your sign-in details private.

Our website may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Your Choices

You may ask us to see, correct or delete your or your child's information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing support@itutor.world or calling 1-844-505-7946. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. If a change is important, we will also tell you by email or text. Using iTutor after a change means you accept the updated policy.
